Product Description:
TS-1163 silicone pressure-sensitive adhesive is a toluene solution of organopolysiloxane and silicone resin. It can be used as a coating for mica tapes, fiber substrates, etc., and is suitable for manufacturing soft mica tapes and glass fiber tape products.
Product Features:
1. Wide temperature range, applicable temperature range -65℃~300℃;
2. It can be bonded to a variety of surfaces, including some materials with low surface energy (such as silicones, fluoropolymers, polyolefin compounds);
3. Moisture resistance, weather resistance (ozone, sunlight), chemical resistance (acid, alkali, oil, melting, alternating current analysis peeling, etc.) and biological resistance (fungi) attack;
4. The residual amount of organic silicon on the used surface is the least;
5. Excellent lap shear strength and creep resistance;
6. Excellent insulation, high temperature resistance and flame retardant properties.

User guides:
1. TS-1163 needs to be used with G-603 and G-907 to achieve the best quality effect;
2. G-907 is based on 3%-4% of glue solid content, G-602 is based on glue solid content of 5%-6%, and BPO is based on glue solid content of 2.5%-3% (BPO needs to be dissolved in a solvent to remove water ), after adding the above dry agent, dilute with solvent according to the coating requirements and stir evenly;
3. The viscosity of TS-1163 is suitable for traditional tape coating equipment. If necessary, it can also be diluted with toluene, xylene or other compatible solvents. After the adhesive is applied to the backing material, it must go through two steps: solvent removal and vulcanization.
4. Removal of solvent: In order to obtain the best bonding performance, the drying step must be optimized to ensure that the solvent is completely removed from the bonding layer before the curing process begins. Improper drying will result in residual solvent being encapsulated in the adhesive. At this time, if the adhesive is exposed to an environment higher than 93.5°C (200°F), the decomposition of the peroxide catalyst will initiate a cross-linking reaction between the methyl group on the siloxane chain and the methyl group on the solvent molecule. Thereby affecting the bonding performance. The usual temperature range for the drying step is 83°C (180°F) to 90°C (194°F). The standard drying cycle is 90°C (194°F) for 2 minutes.
5. Vulcanization process: G-907 needs to be sealed and stored in a cool, dry place. It is more sensitive to water vapor, and its high tax content will cause practical effects and generate bubbles. The standard curing cycle is 140°C (284°F) for 2 minutes, as long as there is no adverse effect, the maximum temperature can reach 180°C (356°F). The exact conditions required for complete vulcanization depend on the length and efficiency of the heating furnace, the type of peroxide, and the type of substrate used, and experiments must be performed on the equipment to determine the conditions.
6. Initiating catalyst: During the vulcanization process of silicone pressure-sensitive adhesives, we found that high-purity (98%) benzoyl peroxide based on silicone solids content of 2.5% to 3% has the most stable vulcanization effect. The peroxide should be dispersed in the solvent first, and then mixed with the binder. In order to ensure the stability of the final product, it is very important to mix the peroxide and the solvent thoroughly to obtain a homogeneous dispersion system.
Packaging, storage and transportation:
It is packed in iron drums, with a net weight of 200 kg/drum, and can also be packaged according to user requirements.
The product should be kept dry during storage and transportation to prevent sun and rain.
The validity period of the product is 24 months from the date of manufacture. After this period, it can still be used after passing the inspection.
Safety and environmental protection:
When in use, ventilate to prevent fire and static electricity.
